Our story
The history of Ivindo is closely linked to that of its founder, the Franco-Gabonese Florence Roux. A nature lover, she grew up surrounded by the largest trees on the African continent: Okoumé, Iroko & Moabi, and the Ivindo National Park .
Ivindo is also the river that crosses the Gabonese national park.
The magnificent Ivindo Falls are among the largest in Central Africa. Florence used to explore this incredible forest, home to extraordinary biodiversity, untouched by man, the second lung of our planet. Ivindo draws inspiration from this exceptional environment.
Ivindo is also the fruit of Florence's personal struggle.
Florence suffers from dry skin. City life has affected her skin and disrupted her well-being. She decided to undertake her own research to create a range of organic products that can hydrate, rejuvenate and protect dry and sensitive skin from the pollution and stress of urban life.
Our range of care is a tribute to Florence's ancestors
His grandfather was a great customary chief who used plants to heal the sick people of his village, a wise man living in osmosis with nature. We used the beauty rituals of the past and the secrets of the elders, who knew how to keep skin hydrated, full of vitality and simple essences of nature.
In 2017, she created with a French laboratory, the first certified organic cosmetic brand to remedy the problems of dry and sensitive skin . Ivindo was finally launched in London, Paris and Libreville.
